It is not uncommon for people to try on their own to resolve personal or relationship struggles. It is sometimes successful addressing problems this way, but frequently self-help is neither completely successful, nor efficient. Seeking emotional relief is usually a big step for most people. But the decision to seek professional help can contribute to positive, lifelong changes in the quality of one’s life.
I help people dealing with:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Sexual problems
- Substance abuse
- Trauma
- Phobias
- Sleep disturbances
- Bothersome repetitive behaviors
- Irrational thoughts
- Unhealthy eating
My approach
My therapeutic process is eclectic. While using cognitive-behavioral therapy to address a person’s issues can be helpful, I believe that psychodynamic therapy is the catalyst to long lasting results. Using this approach, with the individual we look at the psychological roots of emotional suffering through self-reflection and self-examination. This process helps uncover emotional blind spots in the client’s psyche.
